Default Hood Scoop comparisions

Hey guys, what time i've owned my 07,i've always admired many of the custom touches done by many of you to your Rams. I've only added a couple of simple touches such as a black Bullguard and then a set of stainless bedrails. My truck already had a set of stainless nerf bars when i bought her. What i'm looking to add is a hood scoop. Not so concerned about going to a full ram air setup at this time,so i've been browsing several sources including ebay for a good looking & quality scoop and obviously have found many to choose from. My preferred style is the "Rumble Bee" or SRT style scoop. I've been looking close at what details i could read or the pics that were given to judge quality of both looks & fitment. I've seen everything from fiberglass types that were 27x22x2" and even full metal bolt on units. I;m just kinda asking what you guys have found or used and the final opinion of how good the scoop you chose to use looks and holds up to long term quality. While i've missed the op to make an affordable buy on actual factory produced units,i believe there are other aftermarket ones that look good.....well at least as viewable on the web sites. Any input or shared thoughs are welcome! I plan to get one someday, but i don't plan to make an extreme investment if i don't think it necessary. So lets hear what you guys think!

I'm going with a full hood conversion on my Ram with a 3" rise, tapered cowl hood. I'm doing this for aesthetics and to provide for more cooling air. I won't be doing any ram air type work.

I prefer a full hood conversion to a tacked on scoop. It gives the flexibility of adding some cold air system later, such as that you can do with the SRT-10 hood.

Go with what works for you but consider what kind of flexibility you want to add cold air induction in the future.

You might take a looks at the following websites:

I had to do away with my original RumbleBee hood for the simple fact that I got tired of people asking me is it functional, I would tell them no, and then their response sounds like a big let-down. Don't get me wrong, the hood looks sharp, but beelieve me that question will haunt you. The SRT Hood will look better imo for your year Ram anyway plus it's functional.
Where there's one, there's sure to BEE more.
