Default 04 ram Hd 2500 what tire size with 2''kit front & rear?

I have a 04 Ram 2500 hd? 1st dodge pick up ive owned. It sits almost level maybe 1 inch lower in the front stock. i have no idea why it`s that way it does not have a leveling kit as of now. my idea is to put the 2'' or 2.5'' front and rear. and go with 35`s if it wont look like to much tire? i dont mind 33`s so opinion`s would be helpful. I was told a 305 70 17 was a 34 is that a better tire? with all the rim issues i may use my stock all 17x8 wheels. i see a set painted black and they look pretty good. I may put the street flares on so should i use spacer`s? The death wobble is nothing i want to acheive in any of this. so idea`s again would be helpful. My wife drives my truck at times also. she may not be able to come out the that wobble if it`s as bad a ive read and heard about. We have 2 kids so i want a good safe Truck but cool looking. with not having to spend ton`s of $. It sit`s high enough i think the 2'' front & rear with new shock`s will accept the 35`s and look good. If anyone has done this and could show a pic ext cab like mine would be great. ive kinda search on here and have not found one. Thank`s

THe 305's usually measure out between 34-35" depending on the brand. Wheel spacers - bad idea. That will put a lot more stress on your bearings and change the scrub radius drastically wich could lead to vibration issues. If you're concerned about the death wobble, have your suspension and steering checked and repaired if needed before you go with the bigger rubber. You may want to upgrade your stock steering damper to something better like a Rancho. With the lift you're talking about, you should be able to run 285's with no problems on your stock rims.

right now being stock i have 275 70 17 tires and distance above the tire to fender lip is 10'' on front and 10 1/4 on back bone stock. I think the 275 = 31 1/2 high? i want what will look right by adding 2 front and rear i think it will look good 34-35 but dont know. mean if a 33'' tire is only 1 1/2 bigger its total 3/4 top tire 3/4 bottom. the 2'' inch`s will still make 33`s look small also i think?dunno lol the figure is tricky if im wrong costly. is there taller 2500`s then others? are they called a heavy duty. i see a 03 2500 with the 2'' with 33`s and i think mine is as tall? if im wrong it isnt by much.

Default 315/70r17

I recently saw a picture and a posting on another Dodge forum of a 2500 completely stock with 315/70r17's and it looked great. The poster did say that it rubbed just slightly at full lock. I have noticed that it is not nearly as often that you see people posting info about the 2500's. From my personal research you should have no issues clearing 35's with 2"-2.5" of lift. I do not have first hand experience on the subject though since I am still saving up for my lift. Hopefully some other 2500 owners will jump in with some personal experiences.

I had my dad throw 315's on his 2004 2500 when it was brand new and I just recently purchased it off of him last week. The truck has 47,000 miles on it and is on its 3rd set of sneakers. 2 pairs of BFG all terrains and now a set of Coopers. No issues at all, even at full turn. Put them on!!!!!!! I have been tempted to lift this since all 6 of my trucks have been skyhigh, but I am starting to think that a leveling kit will suit me just fine, especially since its going to be my company truck. We'll see.........

You can fit 37's on stock wheels at stock height with minimal rubbing on the control arms at full lock. 35s will fit just fine. As for death wobble, there is no one cause and it's kind of hit or miss whether you get it or not. Some guys are picking up their brand new rigs from the dealership, 3 weeks later, death wobble.. and some have 03's with 200k miles with level kits and have never experienced it. Stay away from BFG A/T's as they have a history of influencing death wobble on these trucks..
