Exclamation Need some advice

Hey guys whats going on? I know this question is asked all the time, what can I add horse power for cheap?

Keep in mind I have a CAI, Exhaust and programmer, the basic bolt on stuff. I want some stuff that adds power for cheap. i know headers is a suggestion but thats not that cheap haha.

Pullys? Electric Fan? I dont know but I'd like some advice

this looks pretty cheap
*might want to mute your speakers- the song is pretty annoying*


on a more serious note- I don't have any experience with them myself, but I hear a 180 degree thermostat can help with performance, and they're pretty cheap too

I doubt you can beat headers in the bang for the buck department. An engine is just an air pump and the more efficiently you can move that air in and out, the more power you'll make.

Yeah, Headers are a good idea. An electric cooling fan would give you good results, but they can run a little expensive. For pulleys, if you can find a lightweight one it helps. I had a light weight one on my 3000gt and it gave it a little bit of performance. I'm not sure if anyone makes them for the ram.

Tstat and pulley will help but the next step, IMHO, will be headers.

Beyond that, it gets a LOT more expensive!!!

Headers with real duals . Electric fans . 100 shot . Gear it lower (gas mileage will suffer) . Really depends on how crazy you want to get and what your intentions are . I could tell you some old drag race track tips . But nothing that you could leave on permanent .

My solution is cubic inches.

Another solution is NOS but that's pretty tough on the engine, especially the rings.

And there's always forced induction (turbo, supercharger) but you need to build the engine to handle that.

To go up in HP you'll eventually have to build the engine.

I believe the gains were a result of introducing "Variable Valve Timing", and an "active intake manifold".
