Default Need Help, 2 videos of my truick , is this a normal sound with a Hemi??

New to this site but am looking for feedback.
I have a 09 Ram SLT 4X4 5.7 Hemi. 2000 miles on it.
The engine has a destinctive sound to it that Im not used to. I took it into the dealership and was told all Hemis sound like that. Its completely normal.
Im not so sure yet, so Ive attached these 2 videos so you can hear it and let me know if this sounds like yours does and if its normal. Im not talking about the injectors fireing off, its the sound that sounds more like a piston slap sound.,, Tap... Tap... Tap... Tap etc.....
This is only after the truck is warmed up and idling. Please listen to both and let me know what you think

Thanks

Inside garage, little more echo

Outside with less echo

My truck does make a ticking noise which from what I've read is normal. But your engine has like a clank clank noise that I've never heard on my truck. Seems loud too.

I think I hear it . Has a chirpy type sound to it . Not really a knocking or tapping . I would get a second opinion , keep these clips for evidence . The truck is under warranty . Drive it . If anything happens you have the receipts and video showing you tried to address the problem . I've had a slight drive train tick in my 5.9 since new . Hasn't got any worse . I have run the snot out of it from time to time . Still alive . I have about 140,000 miles on it now . Sometimes it's better to leave things alone . You don't want that motor opened up unless you absolutely have to .

My 09 with 3000 miles sounds similar. Yours does seem to have a little more serpentine belt noise, but nothing I would be worried about. Maybe you sucked a blue plastic oval with the name Ford on it in the intake. Not to worry, it will come out the exhaust.

I hear the Hemi tick every day on dozens of different vehicles and that doesn't sound like it to me. It sounds to me like it could be in the accessory drive, perhaps a bad bearing. I'm listening to it on a laptop, so the sound reproduction isn't the greatest. If your current dealership refuses to do anything else, go to another one if there's one nearby. If not, give Chrysler a call and let them get in the dealers ass.

The tap slap is predominately on the driver side somewhere.

I just made a second appointment with my service writer for Monday at the dealership. Ill let you know Tuesday what happens.

Thanks for the responses

um, well mine does sounds like that to.... I had a 04 and it was not that loud but made that noise to!

i was going to worry about it but then i thought about it and i have the lifetime on it so i am not worried at all, i run Amsoil in my truck.

I do hear it the most when i put about 700 miles on it in one day.... and if i pull my trailer... it's about 7200 lbs... I hear it when i pull in to fill it up.....

did take it to the dealer and they said it was ok, so i want to the salesmen and ask to start a 2010 and he did i hear the noise too on a truck with no miles on it.

Definitely have to love the "Lifetime Warranty"
I'm starting to feel better but still going to have them check it out thoroughly Mon.
This is the nicest truck Ive had and really hope to hold on to it for a long time.
