Default V 10 trying to stall

when i back up slowly and tap the gas to go a little further....the truck tries to stall....the needle dips down to around two hundred RPM and then comes up...I was just wondering what could cause this??

Try cleaning the throttle plate and bore with throttle plate cleaner . If you use carb cleaner don't spray it in . Spray a rag and wipe it out .

I like using a soft bristle toothbrush for the heavy deposits and following it up with a rag.

I totally had this happen recently. I did exactly what tom said, clean your throttle body. I took it off, but if you don't want to do that, you can very easily spray a rag and wipe it down. Open up the flap and wipe down there as well.

Also... In the back of your throttle body is a little motor with a wire harness going into it. there will be 2 hex nut screws, it is your Idle Air Control Valve. Mine had a ton of grime on it, and I cleaned it up with the TB cleaner as well (sprayed onto a rag) and the problem is solved.
