Default Horn doesn't work on my 98 Ram

I'm new here, I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Sport, Intense Blue V8.
I have traced it up to the steering wheel. I can make it honk in the harness by grounding it out. My cruise works and the air bag light is not on. Is this a clock spring problem or a horn button problem? Any ideas or suggestions deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Gary

Id say you have a horn/cruise switch problem judging by the wiring diagram.

My friend told me I need to get that bumper sticker too.
I have thought about putting a separate horn button on it, but I'm used to the horn being on the steering wheel.

So I took the air bag out today just to see if anything was unplugged and checked for continuity. Apparently the clock spring is ok as far as the horn goes. I didn't unplug the air bag but when I reinstalled it, the airbag light came on. I didn't jerk on any of the wires unless those air bags are so sensitive it could tell I removed it.

Pull it back apart and make sure the squib connector is still in place

It doesn't have one of those connectors, looks like 2 wires spliced together with heat shrink put over the top of it. I think they changed that in 2000.

No plug, unless there is some kind of terminal under the heat shrink tubing.
