I had the defroster on my 2004 and really liked it. Definitely a plus in the winter.

I found the relay in the fuse box that turns on the heated mirrors. Now I'm wondering how I should connect the new rear window defrost? There probably is a fuse for the heated mirrors. I'm thinking one side of the rear window heater should be connect to this fuse. The other connection I'm not sure about. I don't have a wiring diagram or circuit layout to follow. That's what I need, and some advice on what I'm planning on doing. Tell me what you think. Thanks.
Gonna be a really neat feature .

Thanks for the great info guys & blazing a trail for the rest of us. My question is - I have an '01 2500 diesel Ram. Is there somewhere that I can buy a factory or aftermarket heater grid that attaches to the inside/outside of my unbroken 1 piece rear window ?

Sorry to bring up a thread from the dead...but has anyone figured out how to retrofit the rear defroster on a 3rd gen Ram? My 2006 has a leaky rear window (one of the window panes is leaking) and I was considering replacing it with a solid back glass w/ defroster.

I looked under the driver's seat as was mentioned in a different thread, but did not find the defroster wiring.

Only $150 option too. When i ordered my truck i didnt know it would be a power sliding window and defroster.
