Beyond that, a different wheel with a different offset will be needed if you want to go to a wider tire. Also, anything taller than a 70 series tire will need a lift.

I'm running 285/75X18's on a wheel with +18mm offset and a 4" lift. those tires are 34.7" tall.
problem is that i cant find any sites that are offering 285/70/20 tires any body know of a site offering that? I really need to fill this wheel well up bad, also what about adding a 3 inch body lift what do you thnk the max i could get then?

That will be a hard size to find, if they even make them.

With the body lift, maybe a 305/60RX20 but that's gonna be a shorter tire.

Have ya checked with any local tire shops?

thats what im going to do tomorrow i was just curious because when the guy said that was the largest tire that would fit i knew that couldnt be right, at the same time ive heard of people running 35's with a 2 inch level and a body lift so i was wondering if that would be possible with the stock rims. at least for awhile untill i can get enough saved up for some rims

I would think it would be. 20" wheels limit your tire choices though.

yeah i know so im pretty torn on what to do here, i mean i know i want to run at the very least a 33' but a 33 on a 20 inch rim is costing an arm and a leg so im at a crossroads at what the most cost efficient and best looking method would be

If you throw a 3" body lift on the truck then you wil be able to fit a 35" tire. I know what you mean tires do get expensive when you have a 20" rim. I personally have a 20" rim as well and I rather have it since I like the look. If you dont mind having an 18" rim then you should probaly go that route. The tiers will be less expensive and so will buying the rims. A 35" tire will look great with anything up to a 6" lift.

You dont really need to link us to your thread I am sure we will find it. But yea you leveled it which is a great start. It is a never ending process modding your truck. Trying to figure out whats next is hard since there is so much to do and you want to figure out which you rather have first haha

Hey guys. I've read through this entire post and got most of my questions answered but I've still got a few. I've got a 2009 1500 TRX4 with stock 17" wheels, 275 70/R17 tires. I'm looking to get some new wheels and a taller, wider tire. From what I gather from this post, I should be able to do a 35x12.5 tire if I put on a leveling kit. Correct? I've found another site that says to do a 35" tire I would need to lift the truck at least 4". I don't want to have any rubbing but defintely want a taller tire that will stick out a bit more that stock since the TRX4 has fender flares. Also looking for a more aggressive tire and from what I see on this thread I've got a lot of options.

I'd appreciate any help or advice on this since my local tire shops are virtually useless!
