Default Truck stalled while putting gas in

i know your not suppose to have it running anyways but it was sleeting and cold out at the time, anyways i was filling up my truck and just before it got full it shut off.i didnt think anything of it at first just maybe my girlfriend shut it off for some reason.i get in and it wouldnt start and all it would do is crank.i just put the pedal down a little bit and it started.about a couple blocks down the road it almost died again when i let of for a stop light and i just blipped the gas and it was fine.has anyone else had any problems like that before?
thanks

First thing I'd do is check for any PCM codes and then inspect the throttle body for buildup. I'm fairly certain it's dirty, so get some throttle body or brake cleaner, an old toothbrush and a rag and clean it out good and see if that doesn't help.

You may have filled up with gas that has some water in it.
I had that happen last year in Iowa at Christmas.
I had to add a can of Heat water remover to the tank to cure it.

And you sucked air into your fueling system with the cap off and the engine running....

Sounds like it could be a vapour lock/air in the line>? Filling the tank running was it close to empty?
