yes they are plastic, I did mine without any problem. Have the truck at a reasonable temperature so the plastic is less susceptible to breaking but it's pretty tough stuff. Also there are some sharp edges to watch out for somewhere down there too. Visually locate the clip by laying under the truck and push outward as close to where the bezel clip comes through the slot in the fascia. Only use as much force as necessary take your time and it should be fine. If you have trouble you could probably spray a little silicone spray on the slot and tab to ease the force needed. I started at both ends and worked my way into the middle.

Thanks for the tips. When I ordered the truck I was dissapointed that these front hooks were not even listed as available on the sport. I was very happy when I came across your post because I really wanted them. Confused why they did not think to design this into the sport, even the Laramie list these as optional. I'll post some pictures when I get them done, hopefully they will work out a nice as yours. Thanks again and wish me luck,

Hi
Could you please send me a picture of your RAM from the front with the tow hook ? cause i would like to do it on mine.

I also have a 2010 Sport Ram. My local dealer priced tow hooks at $206 installed. I guess for $66 it's a toss up to have them do it or not! They sure seem overpriced still. Thanks for the great right up/info Rumbles!

You can buy them online for about $110. If you do that and install them yourself you'd save about $100.

I like the mod. Just bought a sport and didn't realize this could be done. I will definately try it out.

I appreciate the pictures and tips. I did mine last night. Very easy installation. The only trick was cutting nice rectangles out of the closeout panel. I used a jigsaw and then a razor blade to touch things up.
