Default Gettin My Windows Tinted Tomorrow Can't Wait!!!

Here's some before pics I'll post up after pics tomorrow evening. I'm getting limo tint on the very back window then 15% on the front side windows to match the factory tint on the back windows and also a 6 inch strip across the windshield. Should look pretty good.

Yeah, that will look good!

Remember, don't roll down your windows for at least 24 hours (we are having some cold ambient temps, so wait even longer) so the film dries completely and you don't roll up your tint when you roll down the windows. That would suck...

You can turn on your heater and let the truck idle for a few hours to speed up the drying process.

Where abouts in Orygun are ya?

Might not be a bad idea to put a strip of masking tape across the switches . I did it when I got my windows done . It's just a natural instinct to put the windows down .

Ya this will be the 5th vehicle that I've had tinted and the first one I had done I accidentally bumped the button hard enough for the auto down to kick in and had to have the window redone. This was within minutes of having it done too lol. The last few trucks I removed the fuse that controls the windows but i'm not sure if this one controls only the windows or if it'll make other things not work too.

I'm in Coos Bay so it doesn't get as cold in this part of the state but I probably wont roll them down for a week just to make sure.

That's a sweet looking truck! And I too am guilty of forgetting about not rolling the windows down in my previous car. The tape idea sounds good.

The back windows can be as dark as you want here but the front side ones legally can only be 35% but Portland/Salem area is the only place I've heard of actually enforcing it. I got a doctors note though so I'm set either way. The sun gives me migraines from hell it sucks.

Here in Md. if you get stopped and the window tint isn't certified (MD state stamp into tint) they will issue you a citaition . I believe 35% is the limit including the factory tint that is incorporated into the glass already .

http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/IL/

Don't know how current that is but it says you can't tint front windows in your state.
