Im really surprised dodge allows you to turn the chime off, and they even explain how to in the owners manual... Then again for 45k you should be able to do whatever you want

So, you ask an innocent enough question and get the answer you were looking for (albeit without reading your own owners manual), then you decide to fly off the handle on a poltical rant on folks who are responsible for picking up the innards of the people ignorant or unlucky enough to splatter themselves all over the interior of their vehicles because they decided to go belt-less.

Actually, in your case, I would recommend not wearing it at all, and go helmetless while you are at it.....maybe natural selection (or darwinism) will take effect before you can populate the Earth.

And, save your rant and name calling of me....I am not a liberal.....

I disabled mine for when I go off-road. Play in the mud. No need for it when your going under 10mph everywhere.

Seatbelt or not, you get hit hard enough, you`re dead reguardless...!
If the guy dosent want to wear his seatbelt, big friggin deal... its HIS right...!

Think about it....
Seatbelts were NEVER designed to save your life in an accident
They were only designed to HELP keep you IN the vehicle during a collision

And for that guy that went off on you all....GOOD FOR YOU BRO...!!!!! I`m with ya..!

Ther are wayyyyyyyyyyyy to many laws in the wrong area of this country, but thats libralism at its best. I prefer it be MY choice NOT your choice

All he asked for was how to disable his seatbelt chime alarm, and some of you guys just started in on him about your rightous opinions, so he fired back at you, and you give HIM crap...???? I thought these forums were supposed to help people, not sit ther and pick at every thread you can or send them your boss opinion. Good god people, come onnnnnnnnnnnn

And for the ones who say they`re responable for picking up the inards off the highways at accident scenes...
hey if you dont like it, then pick another profession, or quit bichin about it and ALSO using it as an excuse to fly back with opinions at people on here

He asked a very simple question when he started this thread...
nowhere did he mention he wasnt going to wear his seatbelt until some of YOU made it like it was your choice for him to wear it

Is this how some of you treat newcomers in here....???
This guy JUST joined, nice way from some of you to show how welcome he is here.
Some of you provoked the situation for him to fire back, and then you get all defensive...?

Last I checked this is not a politics forum so can we quit it with all the liberalism this and infrigement of personal rights that. Nobody told him he HAD to do anything. It was a suggestion. If he got offended then that's his problem. Read back if you actually care and you'll see who flew off the handle.

And as for my occupation goes. I love it. But if people were not so ignorant and idiotic as to worry about themselves and their families, then maybe they wouldn't get into the situations that they get into. Seatbelts are in cars and trucks for multiple reasons. Yes they prevent you from flying out. But they also stop your head from hitting the windshield, stop your chest from hitting the steering wheel, and slow you down as you go into the airbag. If someone doesn't want to wear it, then fine, that's the choice they make.

How many people have you seen die in car accidents? How many dead kids have you seen? How many people have you seen cut in half because they flew out of their car because they had no seatbelt? How many people have you seen die in front of you? Don't tell me what my job is or what I should be doing.

Ok dude, i will only comment on one statement you wrote... and enough said
Have you ever been thru war...??? Have you ever saw your brothers and sisters, mom`s and dad`s face`s, arms, or legs blown clean off before your eye`s, as they scream for you to save them...????? Your job relies on you to arrive after the fact. Your job isnt THAT tough, trust me, i`ve seen way to many die, keeping yours and my country free
