I successfully turned mine off. Started witht he seatbelt buckled, turned the key to "on" (not started tho) and wait for the seatbelt light on dash to go off... Now unbuckle and rebuckle belt 3 times within 10 seconds, leaving buckled on last time, turn key off and a chime will be heard to verify it was successful... It took me a couple tries, but i got it to work. BTW i do this because i do alot of slow (under 10 KM\H) driving for hunting in the fall, and nothing more annoying than seeing that trophy and trying to get unbuckled in a hurry, or havin that chime goin off while puttering throught the woods

I dont think he was asking for your opinion . I think the question was on how to disable A buzzer .I think if you look you will find forums you can make your feelings heard. I feel when A question is asked you can answer it or not

Wow- lots of mis-, dis-, and just bad info in this thread. Although it's resurrecting the dead, I must say that the mentality of a good number of posters in the thread is suspect at best. It the man wants to disable the chime, let him do so, and be at peace with that.

With regards to the seatbelt and insurance in the case of a claim, HAL (your friendly onboard computer) is logging all the parameters of the vehicle constantly- throttle position, speed, angles (steering, yaw, off-axis, etc), seatbelt indication (position and if the belt circuit is complete), etc, etc.,- so the info for the insurance is already there.

Tried doing this on my 2010 ram. did not work...after you buckle three times. then do you turn the truck off or drive? Annoying as hell when you are hunting and the seat belt is chiming...Lemme know! Thx!

You guys get to crazy I want the belt warning off, I drive around on airports all day in and out of the truck if I hit a plane it gets hurt a lot more than me but as I am going out the gate it's a bitch to get the cut off belt end out of the lock so I can put the belt on remember the stuff 3000 pound aircraft are made of breaks before I bend....

nicely said kjobrien84. but for you other guys that are freaking out cause someone wants to know how to turn the seatbelt alarm off, some of us finds it extreamly annoying to have to buckle and unbuckle or hear the alarm go off when we have to go through mutltiple gates within 50 yards give or take. i also dont want my trucks alarms going off when im just taking the trash down the drive way... i always wear my belt when going down the road, not because its the law but because it saved my life once but when i dont want it, i dont want it.
