i thought the fuel pressure was 39#? either way, check the fuel pressure, that could very well be the problem.

Could the PCV be pulling really nasty stuff in from the crankcase and dirtying the IAC? Just thinking out of the box a bit, but if cleaning that fixed it last time, maybe it just is getting really dirty really quick from something like that? Anyways, let us know what it is. I am getting really curious what is causing so much issues.

I would check the fuel pressure also . Hopefully you can catch it when it bogs down . I don't think you have water in the fuel . If the fuel pressure test comes back ok , I would have a tendency to look more towards like the map sensor . I have run into alot of map sensor problems and they won't necessarily set a code . One of the most overlooked sensors .

Good call on the map sensor. The easiest test I heard it to tap the sensor with like a screwdriver handle or something while the engine is running and see if it sputters or dies. Scan tool would catch that one too.

Well at a full tank it is fine, but down to about half tank or so then the bogging starts and at 1/4 expect death. Would a fuel pump act up when the gas tank gets lower?


Zekery with your test, I end up pulling it out and tapping it or leave it on and tap it? Probably a dumb question, but I am trying to be super specific before I start tapping a sensor.

Leave it on and connected right where it is. And be very careful with your taps. Don't want to break it if it isn't broken.

Not sure thats a good test . Back in the 80's that was a test on the old maf sensors on GM cars .
