Sorry meant to say tensioner pulley but I believe it is the same as a idler pulley as some are spring loaded and some by turning a screw, Remerson228?.

An idler pulley and tensioner are different. The idlers job is to create a turn in the belt routing whereas a tensioner does that as well as controlling tension on the belt. I don't think Chrysler has used the screw type setup since about 2001 when the last of the Cherokees were made with the 4.0L.

Roger that the TJ was a 99 and the tensioner pulleys were notorious for squealing. this is a 2001 so may have a diff pulley set up.

Actually it's 2002.








Guys if you did noticed the pulley being focused on the video that's the one making that noise, the tensioner can't be I already checked that up, sorry I am not so savvy as far automobiles and mechanic goes, but I really, really appreciate all your help guys!
