wasn't to bad with a dremmel tool just make sure you have enough cutting wheels. Now to polish it and put back on the truck when snow stops.

Soon as I have a free night I will be doing it to. How much of a bevel should be done around the edges.

I'm going to get a junkyard TB and try it.

Also, I believe all those raised parts are (the parts your cutting off) are air silencers. Just like a silenced air cleaner, they do everything they can to make the sucking sound quieter...usually hurting performance. But, just like our stock, hardly flowing air cleaner. Same thing.

All your doing is opening up the flow of air, which, increases performance and makes the air rushing in audible. (ever run a motor with no air cleaner on it...same sound)...

Also, by removing the silencing stuff...you are basically doing what the big mod to the round air cleaners was...yank the top off and flip it over

Its actually illegal to remove any silencing...but, so is modding your vehicle from stock at all (so says federal law)...so, who cares...lol

But, I put a CAI on mine along with a TB spacer, and, holy crap, sounds like a hoover up there...haha

was looking into this and spoke with an old friend of mine who built racing motors back when i was just starting in on engines. he told me the only downside to this sort of mod is the noise. "it will not harm the motor any, just removes the disturbances caused by the baffles, oh and an increased urge to stomp a pedal" his words, not mine

Default Carried away with grider!!!!!!!!!!

First off before yall past judgement, please let me xplain........
to keep a long sobbing crises short

1. I only had access to my bud's possessed HD grinder. "thats that"
2. GRINDER onlly had ONE!! used 4" grinding disc welded on. "no room for error literaly"
3" GRINDER onlly had 1 default speed witch was XTRA FAST W/ OVERDIVE he must of modded the motor on that grinder
4. No handle on grinder to hold or manuver through those tight spaces.
5. Performed all last finishing detail grinding at night with only cell phone light in 1 hand to provide that desperatly crucial much needed illumination.
6. No possible way to smooth anything out after 2 I SAY AGAIN TTTWWWWOOOO!!!! HOURS IN RESTROOM GETTING TINY YET PAINFUL PIECE OF METEAL OUT OF EYE

Yall gotta understand i have a 3week old son that requires sum sort of chow every 2 hrs even throughout the night, After me and my wife paper-rock-scissored I WAS VOLUNTERED for nightshift n part morning. So when opportunity came for 2 hrs of down time (baby check up @ doc's) I wasnt going to let those mere unoticaby safety hazards stop me.

OWWYEAH i also broke a clip on the linkage dnt no were it goes or does but lost ability to shift gears properly so no idea if mod worked

'DA PICS OR IT DIDNT HAPPEN"
