Cool squared away

I wasnt able to smooth it out till tomorrow . But i did fix the linkage clip. So i test drove it and i noticed not so much the vacuum noise or xtra power but the overwhelming feeling of me sliding or gliding. My truck felt lighter
I guess thats how i interpreted hp lol

Thumbs up Ported tb! Baby

WoW I just got done reading my Two previous posts and I sound like a dumb a$$ it sounds a hell of alot worse when in writing. (kinda embarrassing) In reality I enjoyed my tb project. I got my files and finished smoothing out by hand all the ruff edges left behind by grinder and polished her up good. fyi I wasn't aware that the ring with gasket that sits on top of tb came off... once i noticed that today my job got alot easier.

STRANG3MAJIK I heard the vacuum sound more noticeable but the whistle from tbs got louder too. I wish I had access to video camera so that you could see and hear for yourself guys n gals. pics are included showing were i was filing on the tb and the finished product.

Biggest performance gain I can honestly say I recieved from this mod is a faster acceleration with overdrive off while at a rolling 5mph

Thanks again for this awesome info. Long live [SIZE="3"][COLOR="Red"][I]RAMFORUMZ

did it this morning was easy enough i looked at buying a TB spacer as well but not enough clearance room with my K&N CAI so that was a no go, it feels good and it might be a little more responsive but i timed myself today and i did a 0-60 in like mid 10 seconds range so def need some more mods cant wait till i get my headers and exhaust and take out that cat.1019001033.jpg1019001040.jpg

Cool Good job

HEY! LOOKS GREAT BRO! I GOT MY AIR INTAKE FILTER EXTENDED JUST SLIGHTLY BELOW MY FRONT BUMPER 4" PVC ALL THE WAY UP TO MY STOCK ELBOW THAT BOLTS ON TO MY TB. THATS THE ONLY WAY I MANAGED TO FIT A TB SPACER WITH MY DIY CAI / RAM AIR KNOCKOFF LOL.

MY BUDDY FOUND A STOCK ELBOW FROM A 02 5.9 N BUILD HIS OWN CAI W/SPACER FOR HIS 99 5.9 N IT HAD NOTICABLE GAINS. IF YOU HAVE THE TIME N A FEW BUCKS MAYBE YOU SHOULD LOOK INTO STARTING YOUR OWN PROJECT.

I READ BOUT SUM GUYS NOT NOTICING GAINS FROM THIER SPACER BUT DNT LET THAT DISCOURAGE YOU CUZ IM HERE TO SAY THAT EVRY TRUCKS DIFFERENT N I DEFENITLY FELT GAINS NOT HUGE GAINS BUT REGARDLESS IT WAS A STEP TOWARDS PROGRESS N THAT WHISTLE SOUNDS JUST BADA$$ WHEN I MASH THAT MOFO!! LOL

the whistling noise must be a CAI thing because even after doing this mod I have no extra whistle, or any louder sounds for that matter but it does have a nice marginal gain in throttle response! IMHO definitely a mod worth doing.
