Default Window Tint

Im getting my windows tinted tomorrow and Im wondering if you guys have opinions about 35%. I have been looking up pictures and 35% seems too light. I want to go 15% for the back window and am now thinking of 25% for the fronts. (regular cab). Any pics of 35% on the fronts? Ill get a pic up today of my truck with the stock windows and a pics after I get it done tomorrow.

I think you can go pretty dark on the back, but 35% may be all that is legal on the front windows.

back when i was doing tint 35% was the legal limit on the front doors, but behind the front doors could be as dark as you wanted. we sold a film that claimed to be 35%, but when metered it registered as 28% and we never had anyone come back about it.

Mine's illegal as can be. 20% up front because it matches the factory tint on the quad windows almost perfectly. The sun strip is about 2 inches lower than allowed as well. The 5% on the back is perfectly legal where I live.

Just make sure its within the legal limits. It will suck to do all that to have it come off. Currious to know why people want it so dark anyway. It can be a bitch to back up at nite. I dont do much but drive in my truck, so as for illegal activities i cant see why real dark is such a big thing. Some cops i know hate them because of the unability to see in. Id be nervous too coming up to someone when you cant see well inside. Just me.

In a word...heat. The interior of my truck got unbearably hot in the summer before the tint went on. Even with the a/c running wide open it took quite a while to cool the interior. Now with the tint, vent visors and a shade in the front window the interior is much more tolerable.

Thanks for all the replies. I wasnt so concerned with how legal the tint will be but now Im having second thoughts. I havent heard of many people getting ticketed up here in Minnesota. Anyone have stories otherwise? I want to go fairly dark so its harder to see in in the daylight, I suppose either way it'll be cooler inside. Bones, Im not sure why I want it dark either. I dont ever do anything illegal in the truck anyway. I have a buddy with an F150 with 5% on everything except the windshield and it looks bad ass. He's in school down in Nebraska and says he's never gotten pulled over for tint.

Wow. Thats ridiculous. Guess I gotta go with about 35%. 50% is legal. I would assume the adhesive would be a B to get off...
