Default Diablosport Predator

I am planning on purchasing the diablosport predator for my 08 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI. I know it will increase horsepower and mpg, but does anyone know if I will be able to change gear ratios? The ram shifts gears too soon. Also, will the predator allow the truck to go past 100 mph since it is replacing the stock tune? I just need some more info on the predator before I spend about 350 bucks. So more info over the predator would be great! Thanks.

I know in my 05 it does have the ability to adjust part throttle shiftpoints (thats what you want), so it maybe available on yours as well...I would join the diablo forums and ask the question about part throttle shift point adjustments...the diablo guys answer questions pretty quick..

Here's the Predator site with their modification sheet. It will modify everything you've got there and more

http://www.diablosport.com/index.php...isplay&pid=122

I've got the pred in my '07 HEMI and aside from the HP and torque increase I really noticed the firmer shifting and I raised the governor too.

Thanks a lot for the info. So is it east to moddify things on the predator? For example, changing the shift points. Do you have to do the changes on a pc before adding them to your truck? or can you do it straight off the predator?

You set your parameters with the tool hooked to the truck.

Upon initial purchase you may have to log into the DiabloSport website for the current CROM file update, then yer good to go.

Here's a link to our Knowledge Base and the Predator technical library. You may find it helpful:

http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=43559

Read the manual first, then make notes of what parameters you want to change and what value you want them set at.

It's an awesome tuner and well worth the money. It will definitely wake up the HEMI. I run one on my Chrysler 300C SRT8 and will be adding one to my newly acquired 2007 MegaCab.

Not trying to thread steal but I'm also in the market for a Predator, was wondering if anyone has run an 'economy' tune on their HEMI's. Anyone got some statistics/experiences for this?

I picked up a trinity and am running it. I have seen a 2L/100km gain in fuel economy and a real pickup in power.

Welcome to the Z! stop by the newbie section to get the official welcome.

How're you liking the trinity? I debated over the two before buying my pred. Are the add-ons worth the extra money? just curious to hear from one who has it.
