Default HID Reliability

I'm considering going HID, but wondering about reliability issues with extra ballasts, relays, etc to fail? How has your kits been holding up?

Maybe along with the feedback, you guys can specify which brand of kit you bought. I had McCulloch HIDs in my last car that were pretty good to me but I'd like to find some a bit more budget-friendly for the Ram.

I just like the way you worded that

In my other truck (suv - s10 chevy blazer) I installed HIDs almost 3 years ago and they work just fine, never had problems with them at all.

Thanks for all the feedback. After reading through other posts, and seeing several entries regarding ballast problems, the need for a resistor and/or diodes if running an overhead console; which I am, I decided to go with the SilverStars instead. Plenty bright for me...especially when front end comes up an 1" with the Bilstein shocks....just avoiding future headaches. Thanks again for your posts.
