Default Painted tonneau?

Hey everyone,

Just picked up a 2010 1500 Hemi Crew Cab. I want to purchase a painted tonneau, but I'm not sure which one I like better. Either the MOPAR or A.R.E.
What do you guys suggest?

MOPAR- http://www.autotrucktoys.com/ram/Mop...-PRD28591.aspx

A.R.E- http://www.4are.com/product/_new_pop...mg=09_LSII_Ram

I think before you decide, you should try to see them in person on a truck. I know it may not be easy. I was considering the Mopar until I saw it on a truck and I didn't like how tall it is. But that's just my preference, I like it low profile.

The A.R.E's look nice and they're not so tall.

I saw the ARE on the same color sport as mine not too long ago.. Looked really nice.. That is the one I would get if I got one.. I just like the freedom of the tri-fold as its easy to remove and can be stored in the bed if your away from home and need to carry tall crap.

I agree with you on that. I just don't like the idea of having to drive with it open or having to remove it. But they do look nice on the truck.

Thumbs up Definately the Mopar

I find the Mopar goes with the theme of the truck, the lines of the hood carrying back to the truck box and the small spoiler on the back of the tonneau cover compliments the finish. This is the one I will be getting come spring but it's always personal preference that has the last word.

I have the mopar on my 2010 1500 ram sport from auto truck toys. I love the way it looks on my truck. Color matches perfect( brilliant black) fits nice, solid build but not to heavy, nice lock and keeps the bed dry and secure. I don't do a lot of hauling but it does pop up pretty high. To me it's pretty flush with the truck and I like how it' over laps the rails of the bed

It is slightly raised in the middle like the hood is and a raised spoiler. I think it flows nice with the truck and gives it a sporty look. I have gotten many of compliments on it. The areo shape gives u a little better gas mileage too. I will try and get some pics up. My computer is on the fritz and I been using my itouch to use this site. If you want give me your email address and I will send you some.

I actually did a little research and noticed that the Leer model 700 looks really nice and has optional spoiler with a brake light. Looks pretty sweet. Think I might go with this one. It flows nicer than the ARE.
