Question upholstering floor...help

I am new here. I have a 1999 Ram 1500 single cab, and have already replaced hte headliner. I am putting upholstery down on the floor and rear liner 9the thing with the shelf clips). question I have is..do I need to fully remove the seat belts? if so, do I need special tools? also, does anyone have any ideas for how to upholster the sun visors...i dont want the hideous old glight gray oones clashing wiht the new dark gray and black interior. thanks!!!

If the sun visors are in good shape, you could dye them to the color you want.

I have had good success with quality spray can based dye for interior trim & fabric;
I would try that first, unless you *want* to change the fabric type too..

will be even easier / uniform if you are simply going from e.g. light gray to dark grey
(not a drastic color change)

Visors are really easy to reupholster with new kit. Just fallow the instructions.. since you already have them down it takes only 20 minutes to do both of them... 30 minutes if you have to take them down.

As for the seat belts, you need a torx bit the right size, irrc its either a T40 or T45, but not 100% sure. And yes the seat belts do have to come out, or you have to cut slits into the flooring to let the seat belts slip through... just easier to get every thing right if you take them out.
