Default 07 1500 4x4 Tow Hooks question

Tow hooks for 2007 1500 4x4 are on one single plate. Does anyone know the length of that mounting plate? I'm trying to figure out how much gap will be on each side with the platic bezel, currently in place, removed, or if there will be enough fasteners left on the bezel after cutting to fit the hooks/plate to hold it in place?
Ideas or thoughts anyone?

The spoiler is not affected. Tow hooks mount through the plastic insert piece on bumper.

Some of the factory units come without the mentioned plastic piece and hooks already installed. I think it would be fairly simple to cut the plastic out if you wanted to keep it in place. I just looked at an '08 2500 but it's a different setup than what you're describing. The factory uses individual hooks that are bolted to a bracket on the frame. If I can get my hands on an '07 1500 today, I'll see if I can get you an answer.

I just found a truck with the hook setup you described and the width measured at 30.5 inches. The plastic piece is not installed on this truck and it doesn't look like it would be doable from what I'm seeing but where there's a will...

thanks alot for your feedback Randy and GTYankee. Will order the set, and see what I can make work from there if I don't like the look on the sides of the hook plate.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. I finally got the hooks installed .They do not extend past the bumper as far as I think they should...but will work if needed. I did get the plastic insert in the bumper, which is normally just removed, cut to fit around the hooks and reinstalled. It was a simple job using a wafer wheel on a pencil grinder, and the original fasteners lined right back up.....be aware though the plastic fasteners are a bear to get out,,,don't be afraid to pull. Reinstalling the plastic piece is well worth the time, because it gives you a much cleaner look.

That sounds like a cool little mod. Where did you order the hooks from? I wouldn't mind getting a set on my front end as well
