Default Banks IQ Questions

I was thinking about picking up the Banks IQ w/tuner, Banks intercooler, Banks Monster dual exhaust and Banks High ram intake for my wife's (ICOVERU) truck. It is an 08 2500 Quadcab 4X4 with the 6.7l Cummins. Has anyone looked into this system and what do you all think of this system? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking that I could pull off the same benefits from a diablosport predator and other aftermarket mods for a lot less money.

I know a few Cummins guys that swear by Banks' equipment. If you're gonna do the 6.7L Banks intake, then the drop scoop is a must to get more cold air in. I wasn't aware that Banks had it's tuning done for the 6.7L cummins.

As for other aftermarket tuner/mods, you could get by with a standard CAI, but I'd still recommend the Banks High ram ported elbow since it flow so much smoother than any other I've seen. For intercoolers, there's only a few that i'd even look at and those are the Banks, ATS, and the high capacity from ppediesel. Any plans to upgrade the turbos, add fuel prep, or H20/Methanol?

Are you somewhere that allows a DPF delete? That allows for a whole new world of programmers like the BlackMAXX.

Well have u thaught about the Smarty. great programer. and the hi ram is ok but u still have 2 bolts causing resistence. Take a look at CFM the make a great intake manifold. though now that i think about it i dont know if they make one for the 6.7.

That's the biggest problem with the 6.7Ls, they're not that high demand for modding since the 5.9L is an absolute dream to mod. It's hard to find add-ons for it that are worth their salt.

I'd imagine that 6.7 is a monster. I can't believe that it in reality is only 6 cylinders, what a monster. I've heard a lot of good things about Banks, and even have heard that they are quite possibly the best diesel performance products around.

You can't do any better than Banks. I'm not affiliated with them but I have used their systems on two diesel rigs. They are well engineered, powerful, effective and last!

I have been seriously thinking about it. As i stated in another thread, I handle all the performance mods for my wife's truck and my Challenger. She handles the cosmetic mods. Being active duty military it is hard to plan the DPF delete because we never know where the Army will send us. Only now, are companies coming up with delete kits that won't throw a code. I am waiting for a good setup that I won't have to clear codes all the time. Thanks for everyones input. The research will continue for now.
