Default Cab switch?

I have 99 Ram regular cab with a long bed.
Bed is a work bed and dont really use it for
work. I was wondering if i could replace the
cad with a extend cab and throw on a short
bed. Ideas on this...I love my dodge, its just
id like to be able to make her look good.

It'll work. The main wiring harness should be the same. Body mounts and bed mounts will have to be changed out and moved.

Most every frame has all the proper holes for every cab mounting
they make them all the same, except for the different changes for long or short frame

like an extended cab short bed, will use a different frame from a extended cab long bed
maybe as much as 12" to 20" difference for instance
