I love the write up. If they would write the instructions the same way you wrote it up maybe it would give people a true indication of what they are facing. Sometimes I think the people that write the instructions for the manufactures have a perverted sense of humor and make them as hard to follow as possible and then they either add one extra piece or leave one out just for grins! Great job!!!!

I think that they write the instructions for a technician, not for the average person

I know that almost everyone in here has purchased something that had the instructions written by someone not familiar with engrish

you did a great job on the pix & explanation

Great writeup! I'm planning on referencing it tomorrow when I attempt to install mine. I purchased it from ManciniRacing dot com for $389 plus $10 shipping.

Just finished the install on mine. 2.5 hours, not too bad. The hardest part was definitely dealing with the wheel well lining and then building the air box. The box didn't fit together too well and I had to use quite a few clamps to get the pre-drilled holes to line up. I had installed a K&N on my old Dakota and it was much easier than this job, but this one was still worth the effort.

Default Sorry for bringing this back alive

But I myself just ordered this setup, I noticed in the instructions you said you had to remove the inner fendercover. We do put it back once the underneath of the filter box is reached right? I would hate to have to keep it off for this filter setup. Just wondering if you had to remove it for access only, or for airflow. Also does K&N make a filter wrap for this filter? I would like to know just in case for water..

Thanks for your time

Steve
