Default Want to install clearance lights on cab ...

2004 Quad Cab 4x4 - Just wondering how difficult it is and is the wiring harness already in place and the lights just spliced or plugged in?

Thanks,
Kevin

I like the looks of them on like the dually trucks but man I couldn't imagine drilling holes in my cab lol. I think I would pay somebody else myself just cause I couldn't bear to do it myself haha. Sorry I'm not much help but if you have a 2500/3500 it's possible the wiring is already there I know the wiring is there for the fog lights my truck didn't come with.

The looks are great on any kind of truck. Thought about what kind you're going for? GoRecon makes some nice smoked lights and like Jared said, measure twice, drill once. Apparently the kits are easy enough to install, just have to pull the headliner which is time consuming but simple.

good luck as said before i would never drill holes in my truck but love the look, but something to think about is i had a 3500 and after a few years they started to leak so unless the truck has them i wouldn't put them on.

I did mine . I bought the kit from the dealership ($65.00) and it was great . Came with everything and told you where to plug the wiring into the fuse box .

Do they offer them with clear lens or even some led ones that would be cool??

Yea ... I'm just not feeling the smoked ones. My truck is dark metallic grey so i don't think they would stand out very well. If the truck was white, that would be a different story. I think I might follow Tom's lead and go w/ the amber lights from the dealership.

I doubt the wiring will be there but drilling into the roof isn't as big of a deal as it seems. I've done a couple before and the kits I used came with templates. Just set the template and make sure everythings even and that you're satisfied with it before you drill.
