Have been looking at putting a TBS on my baby. Does anyone have any input as to which is best. Does it make a difference which one you get. Do these make a significant difference. I also live at 6000 ft. Any input would be great. Thank you.

I have got one on my truck. I had an experiment where I removed it, drove it, and then put it back on and drove it. I have a K&N CAI and the first thing I notice with it on is a clearence issue. It is a pain with the TBS in. As far as the power goes, I do not feel much of a difference, but the sound is pretty cool, kinda a cool whistle. I would buy it personally. even if it is not a significant gain, it is still a gain.

If there was, I would not say more than 1.X Mpg. They advertise 4mpg, but they also do advertise 20hp. I wouldn't believe those numbers. However if you do want to run nitrous at some point in time, Airaid offers a hole where you can hook it up which makes it nice.

Unless you're looking to run nitrous or have a single plane intake manifold, you get almost zero benefit from a TBS. The added intake length/helical velocity is nullified by the intake manifold's "keg design". The HEMI's intake is so long you won't see any mileage increase, but you will pick up a high pitched whistle which kind of sounds like a supercharger.

...nope..does nothing for us unless it's used for a nitrous plate or with cai's that require a spacer for installation...

I did forget to mention that I just purchased a CAI. I will be installing it in the next few days.

I just haven't seen any definitive, demonstrated and documented improvements from a TBS.

THanks for the input. I think that I am going to hold off on the TBS for now. I will take some pics and post once I install the CAI. I got an AFE. Hopefully it will perform as stated by the guy at 4wheel shop.
