Default Ball joints

Hi everyone, my truck has been making a horrible grinding sound when I turn the wheel. Maybe a kind of grind/squeeking sound. Plus while I am driving I can hear it squeeking when I hit any sort of bump in the road. I did bring it to a service shop and they said it was the ball joints and rods and it had to be fixed. I do notice the sound getting worse especially when it is cold outside then it is really loud. The shop said 950.00 to fix it. I was just checking with you guys to see if this sounds on the up and up.
Any information would be helpful.
Thanks, Jackie

Sounds pretty close to me if they're using good parts and replacing all the rod ends, all 4 ball joints and aligning it.
