Default Tonneau Covers

I am expecting delivery of my new '10 Laramie by this time next week! I have been waiting awhile, but it's on the train!! Anyway I was wondering if I could get a little feedback on tonneaus. I am sort of leaning toward a Bakflip G4 because I like the low profile (below the bedrails), I also like the ability to have acess to the entire bed if you need it (especially if the need arises unexpectedly). I also like the security of it, as well as keeping out the rain. But, a friend of mine has a new SLT and he bought an Undercover lid for his. I do kind of like his, but I am not sure I want to have to mess around with that 50 lb slab of plastic. I realize we all like different things, or our requirements may be different, but I am looking at spending several hundred dollars so I could use a little advice, or hear your thoughts on the matter, please? Maybe you have some more practical suggestions, or perhaps you like a different brand, or type of cover. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you!!!

Hud

If you're worried about needing the bed space at the drop of a dime, then a hardtop isn't the way to go. The G4s are good 'cuz they'll fold right outta the way and voila. If you're getting a bed liner, be aware that you'll have a tight fit getting it in as it adds at least another 1/8"-1/4" to either side.

I just got my Lund tri-fold and was going to put it on today. But since we are getting ice/snow figured I would wait till Sunday. Easy to install and remove for bed access.

We just bought the new Extang Revolution. It sits very flush with the bed. I love it! We had the Undercover on our old truck and could never haul anything taller than the bed.

I looked at the leer 800 hard, but decided to go the soft cover route for conveinience. I am getting the factory mopar trifold that my dealer sells, it sits smoother tehn the Extange trifecta IMO.

I got the mopar fiber glass cover. I don't do a lot of hauling so it was a good choice for me. It does raise pretty high but I wouldn't reccomend it if you need to haul large items. I like mine for the security, look and protection. Check out the auto truck toys web site. They have some nice covers. That's where I got mine.

I think if you look at Bakflip hard top it folds right back so you can have all the space you have on your truck bed. Look at their web site very impressive.
