Default Chrome bumpers rusting

Is anyone else having any rust issues on the chrome bumpers of their 2010? The dealer replaced my rear and ordered a front for rust on both of mine. It has 3000 miles and I bought it 1.5 months ago. Not too happy about all the issues with these new trucks.

It has been known to happen with chrome, and not just dodge. If there's an impurity or crack in the chrome it can start rusting. We've had the dealer replace 4 bumpers in our SuperDuty fleet from this over the last 2 years. What other issues are you having, and hopefully we can give ya some simple solutions.

We don't have the chrome bumpers because we have a sport, but we do have the chrome running boards. Has anyone noticed if those get rust too? Thank's for the info in advance!

No chrome on my TRX, so no rust issues. But, I have had other vehicles that have had issues with metallic brake dust getting in the clear coat and rusting.

I just went to the dealer for this same problem, a rep from chrysler is coming to look at my truck on thursday. I am not very impressed. before i left the dealership i took a look at a few trucks they still had on the lot and a few of them were also starting to rust. It is not brake dust or rail dust it is simply dodge going cheap and thin on the chrome.

I ordered my sport with chrome bumbers. When they built it they messed up and gave me the painted set up. I ended up liking the painted bumbers better so I left them on, after hearing this I am glad I did. The dealer did give me a brand new set of chrome bumbers that I have in my garage. If anybody wants an extra set to have on hand for down the road let me know. I might be interested in selling them
