Default Radio Controls

I have a question for you all. Actually I'll start with a story. SO, there is also a HHR in the driveway next to Rocky and it did not come with radio controls on the steering wheel. On a HHR fourmz, much like this there is a forum going about radio controls and how you take the airbag off and order the separate controls though gm. You just unscrew the cover where the radio controls should be, put in the buttons, plug the buttons into the steering wheel int he back and boom you've got radio controls. I ordered a whole new wheel (leather wrapped) for about the price for just the buttons through GM. So once it gets here it'll be easy to install and I'll be cruising

My question is, can we do this with our rams? I know the Laramie and others had radio controls as an option. Is the wire harness behind the airbag to where we can get a new steering wheel and plug it in to the harness that is not being used? It would be nice to have, I've had it in my past cars.

I know that this can be done on a Nitro or a Jeep, so should be doable on a Ram.

I have them...and have them on my SRT8 as well.

What's to be determined is whether or not you have the harness behind the steering wheel that interfaces to the radio!

Right, I know that I am just wondering if anyone knows if there is a harness behind it or not and if so, have they done the swap. Before I order a new wheel, rip off the airbag and go crap no harness!
