We can get good dumpings of snow here.
I leave for work before some of the roads get cleared.
I use 4Auto a lot as the road conditions can change on my trip to work.
I had several PUs before and all were 2WD before this one.
I never had a problem before as I would always order them with LS and throw some sand bags in the back for winter.
The Ram with 4WD is nice though.I probably won't go back to 2WD.

Use it daily in the winter to get home. Have an snow packed, ice covered 6% grade to climb from a dead stop to get to my house. Chains are required for all 2wd, rear wheel drive vehicles that attempt the hill in the winter (even with studs).

Also use it from time to time at intersections once they've been glazed over.

Summer time has yet to be determined with the dodge; but the ford and IH are out all the time in 4x.

It wasn't a wasted option, but I don't use it as much as I'd like. But when I need it, I need it

I was using 4x4 way too much but it was because I was sick of spinning just one tire on wet or even just cold pavement. I upgraded to the factory LSD and now I probably will not use the 4x4 until the snow flies again.

Would never buy a 2wd. Rather buy a car instead. I need my 4wd, between winter, hunting, launching a boat in a remote lake and crawling out of the bush in 4 low pulling camper up steep hill you need it. PLUS keeps its value at resale time.

Yup, just like the Hemi, sure I don't need that much power all the time but it is sure nice to have when you do need it and it will certainly bring up the resale value.

Here in PA I use mine almost every day in the winter for at least 30 seconds. When I back out of my driveway onto my road I'm already on a slight grade for take off. I turn it on while backing up and off again about 50ft up the road. My poor wife has to back down the road 75 yrds to get a run for it almost every morning in her minivan.I keep 300 lbs in the rear all winter and do just fine the rest of the time, except really bad days. During the summer I pull a trailer with my stump grinder all over the county. I turn it on if I need to go through someone's yard just so I don't spin and rut up their yard.
