Default High speed REN

Whats the difference between the two? ive read that the highspeed is what i need for my ram but i see in all the ads saying that the low speed will work. Whats the difference beside being a little bit faster?

The difference is in the data bus speed that the unit uses to communicate with other modules on the bus. '06-08 models used the CAN B protocols which operate at 88.3 kbps and '09 and up use the CAN IHS which operates at 125kbps. You need the higher speed for your truck.
