Cool What is going to happen

2010 ram with mopar cold air intake and mopar performance exaust. 1200 miles on this unit and 15 mpg. Lots of power. Plan to change to Amsoil syn at 5000 miles. Is the fuel mileage going to get better. Am I doing the right things or what. I love this truck. Any advice would be great. Thanks Bill.

The problem with lots of power and great sound is decreasing mpg because you love to feel and hear the power. That's been my experience. I think the biggest factor affecting mpg is how you drive and then all the other stuff like tire pressure and weight and so for. Remember, this is a big ass truck!

Would definately love to see some pictures or a video of your mopar exhaust. Could you provide some details about it? Sound, feel, cost, installation details. Anything like that because I know others have asked questions about it.

When you have a chance, go to the USER CP and enter your truck's details.

Welcome to the forum!

It should rev a bit freer and get to redline a bit faster.

Mileage may get better but I don't think you'll see that big of a change.

I used Amsoil in my last truck, switched the front and rear diff over to amsoil gear lube at 45K due to towing a boat often. Wanted to put in the best I could get. both changed at 25K at dealer for the first go round.

At 55K I replaced the rear diff seals due to leaking, and at 66 I replaced the right front diff out board seal for pass axle shaft. When I traded the truck at 80K the driverside front was leaking.

I won't use this product again. It may be awesome but isn't very friendly on factory seals, as it seems to get past them easier.
