Default Tranny problem or not??

My '02 Ram 4X4 just turned over 68K miles. Had trans fluid & filter(s) changed at 55K at the dealer service dept.. Truck is warmed up good when this happens.
What happens is, all of a sudden now, even with the slightest uphill grade it wants to down shift into 3rd. Also, I just began to realize that the truck is hanging in 3rd and not shifting into OD for quite some time. It has become so bad that my highway mpg has went from 19mpg to just under 15mpg. Sometimes I get this feeling, as if there is a brake dragging a little bit, but that's been eliminated.
As you can see I do not drive this truck hard, and what little bit of off road use it gets, is done in a couple of feet of snow, with no crazy antics. I know this probably doesn't sound like a "major problem" to some, but that's what I'm trying to do, head off any major problems.
Any ideas??

Default

my truck does it too, up hills and i have 120k on my truck, also has to do with your throttle percent, i find that when mines wants to stay in 3rd i just let out of the gas completely and go back into softly it shifts fine, but has far as it staying in 3rd i never really heard of and these 2002-2008 trannys are really good from what i hear too, just try not to get to much in the pedal when going up hills, unless you're using cruise control then mine loves 3rd gear to for some reason
