Default Why do you guys always try to run with me?

For some reason, I seem to get alot of challenges from Ram owners. I have been forced to vanquish four as of this writing. I did not seek any out (the sole exception being a 2009 5.7) but every time I try to pass a Ram I get challenged. We all have hemi's...you guys have to remember your carrying and extra 1250 pounds on your back. PS. The 2009 got stomped into the ground from a 30mph roll. I am driving a 2006 300C 5.7 with CAI, Predator...and I just want to be left alone by you guys...I dont want to have to keep kicking you to the curb all the time....just leave me alone...lol

Hahaha that's hilarious to hear man.

I don't think kicking the curb is the correct term lol, if the ram owner was to swerve a bit, I believe it'd be you in the curb. I have never been challenged by another ram owner, I typically get a lot of various vehicles. Maybe an srt10 will challenge someday

Kicking to the curb is a figure of speech...meant to crank people up as a joke....but what I say is true...and...I have a buddy I work with that owns a Ram srt10. We have had a few runs with him coming out on top each time...by a length or so at best. That was before the CAI and the Predator...we havent matched up since the upgrades...I think I will have him next time...

Yeah I know what you meant, lol I was just givin ya a hard time.

Is it the quadcab SRT10?

Yeah thats a major downfall of the rams, they are trucks, so they are not meant to be fast necessairly as opposed to your car.

My dad drives a Charger R/T, man that thing pulls pretty hard, the only time I'd even have a chance is from 0-45 (End of 1st) because of the esp always kicking in.

Yeah it is a quadcab....yellow.....sounds nasty, looks nasty, runs like a raped ape. I think the 300c's strongest pull is from a rolling start....I can get my ESP dash light flashing (ie. wheels breaking loose, ESP stopping them) while accelerating to over 60mph from a roll around 25. PS. This whole thread is to break stones....I come from a long history of Dodge Truck owners...my Dad has driven a new one every 5 years for the last 35 years or so. I first owned a Dodge truck in 1990. Just picked up the C this year. I would say the vast majority of my driving experience (26 years of driving) have been behind the wheel of a Dodge truck..

Yeah there is definately no comparison unless the Ram's have modifications as well, even then it is a bit sketchy. The SRT10 is a whole different kind of monster though.

Are you part of the 300 forumz as well?

I don't know why other Ram owners would want to try to race you, maybe in your area the Ram owners prefer street racing rather than hauling or 4x4ing. Both my trucks I use for work, which means I haul heavy loads with them. I don't take them 4x4ing and I don't street race with them. But I do know how you feel. I've been riding and racing crotch rockets for years, and I've literally obliterated every single car I've encountered. Most of the time I just let them fly by me 'cause I already know I'd beat them, but some punks just need to have their egos shot down. But you're comparing apples to oranges, if you want Ram owners to leave you alone then just let them be. That's what I do when Ferraris pull up to me. Most of the time, that is...

Incognito....this thread is kind of a joke....I dont really want them to leave me alone...as a matter of fact I enjoy the challenge....every single time I try to pass one in a passing zone I hear them put the pedal to the floor, they speed up, I do the same...and I leave them behind me...them and a large bunch of Mustang GT's. I would never seek out a race with a Ram as I know that I will win 98% of the time. When they issue the challenge to me, its a whole different ballgame. Then its time for a beat down... My Hemi truck is used for hauling firewood, driving in snow, etc. I would never attempt to street race with it....why other people do I dont know.

Just tell them that after the race you're gonna hook them together and have a tug of war!
