Holy crap That really has to suck, the damage looks awful!!! and with that many vehicles stolen, IMO, I'd be looking for another place to live, looks like they ran into a pole! Surprised they didn't just total it out and you just buy a new truck, but from the looks of your truck now, it's gorgeous and you're right, your body/paint guy did an excellent job!!! How long did it take to fix once they recovered it? No internal/engine damage??? Love the tails/3rd brake light, awesome job! I used to live in FL and yes, it does rain haha, but nice job and cool thread, looking forward to what comes next! Cool TL, too!

Yeah, those who took it will get a payback, eventually. Karma is a bitch.

I had a stated value policy on the car, got an appraisal done every year, policy value based on the appraisal. It had a lot of mods by the time I was done with it.

Yeah, they still go for a crazy price.

Like I stated they never caught the suspects. They hardly ever do.
Cajun- What took the longest was negotiating with the insurance company because they didnt want to pay for OEM parts they wanted to purchase a front clip from a junk yard and spot paint the whole truck. I was not going to accept that so my buddy couldnt touch the truck till everything got approved. It took nearly 5 Months of back and forth with the adjusters to have everything approved. Once everything was sorted with the Insurance it took my buddy about 2 1/2 Months for the finished product. AS for Mechanical problems well the fuse box was shot, the radiator, fan, fan housing, one of the motor mounts and pretty much everything up to where the fan clutch. The insurance didnt want to pay for the new chasis as they wanted it pulled once I again I wasnt having it becuase I dont feel I have to be responsible for a rebuilt truck because of some goons who stoled my truck. So the cab and bed and everything was taken off of the chasis and a new chasis was installed. The total repair bill including parts was $17k. The insurance was going to claim it a total lost but when I sent them the Gap paper work that they had to pay me $37,900 they said they'll fix it. My buddys shop is a reallly nice and professional shop. Half the shop is Body work and the other side is full mechanical with 6 lifts and everything you can imagine. He actually did ALL the work. And at the end of the day my truck is not considered a Rebuilt Title because the new Chasis was installed. Truck drives like the day I pulled it out of the dealer. Karma will take its place and Im happy I was able to get everything as I wanted it because I was going to get a lawyer on the Insurance company if they wouldnt have met my demands.

Wow that's a sad sight to see. Those idiots trashed your truck like that. That sucks that your insurance company gave you such a hard time. We pay for insurance and the one day that you need them, they give you a hard time.

Man, talk about the hassle, and I agree with MBR, that's why we pay for insurance. They want their money, we just want our vehicles repaired if needed. Good way to threaten them, with the gap insurance, glad I bought mine when I bought my truck, wouldn't go without it, but I know in some states, you have the right to ask for OEM factory replacement parts.

I just wish insurance companies would be honest and say yeah, you're paying us xxxx amount of dollars to insure your vehicle with us, pay your deductible and then we'll fix it when we want to, where we want to, how we want to and if we want to. Thanks for allowing us to serve it to ya', we appreciate your business, have a nice day! Do we really need all the fine print just to be told what we already know, that the govt. requires we have insurance to drive, but the law allows the people its supposed to protect to get jacked?

Anyways, sorry for the rant, but your truck turned out fantastic! Your friend needs a HUGE raise!!! Very nice work, absolutely no doubt about it!!!

Cajun - I couldnt agree with you more thats why I wasnt going to settle and be caught as fool and have it their way. I was not taking none of the bull shit they wanted to offer. They do that becuase in many cases people dont know the diff between OEM parts and the quality of them.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Whats up guys.
So a little update. Installed the exhasut this weekend with one of my boys. Instal was a piece of cake literally took us longer to take out my tools then to install it. My drop kit arrived on Thursday Ill post more pics when those are taken.

Its the Gibson Super Truck exhaust. I painted the whole canister Flat black with High Heat paint. I couldnt be happier on how the truck sounds. Now I hear the Hemi. lol
