What truck are you installing them on? When you have a chance, go to the USER CP and enter your truck's details. Have fun on the install and take some pics!

Default Really want to know what you think about the kit

What are you installing the kit into? Who did you buy the kit from and how many$$$$$? What do you think about the quality of the kit? Let us know how the installation goes and if the instruction for installation are complete or did you have to modify/fabricate anything.

You have got my hopes up, I need more light!

Enjoy the Ride!

I got mine about 2 weeks ago from HID extra, they never shipped the relay with it and one bulb had a crached ceramic base. They are reshipping the parts after I informed them of flickering and 1 headlight not working.... I installed sylvania ultra light till I get the parts. I'm happy with them... hope HID Extra comes thru and I hope these work on yours. BTW I paid $75.00 for the 8000k

Default Some concerns

After I read your post I saw this one:

Hid Problems??
pcasso87

"decided to install some 5000k hids for my headlights and fogs. Since the first night a friend who sells hids installed them the problems began... First my right one failed and he replaced the ballast saying it was faulty at no cost. About 4 days went by and it dies on me again, this time i was in a trip so i stopped at a shop and bought another ballast so i could make the trip back home because i had to drive at night. The ballast i had installed at the other shop was another brand different from the one my friend sells, it worked perfect and got me back home so i decided to leave it in there. The next night it decides not to work again it will flicker as if it was going to turn on and then dies completely , i dont understand it seems as if the right headlight loves to kill my ballasts!!! Any ideas what might be causing this??? Its weird because its the only one with that problem it all ready went through two sets of different brand ballasts!!! and i just saw some condensation in the right headlight as well could it be possessed by a headlight demon??

No but seriously what could be causing this??? Its only the right headlight that seems to have the problems"

I am hoping that your kit will be the answer and have the needed resistor and relays.
That's what sucks about upgrading anything--some company says they have the "complete" kit or whatever and then you send off your money and wait for the UPS delivery and spend the time to install and you hope the stuff works as advertised.

There are no guarantee's, yeah I know buyer beware blah blah blah(yada yada yada)
Best of Luck!

Enjoy the Ride!

I had the hidextra kit. Buyer beware. I had nothing but problems. The lights would flicker at startup and would cut off when driving. The big kicker was their ballast caused a problem with my FM radio reception. The lights would come on and cause static on my radio. After fighting with them I did get a refund.
