Question Tips on replacing brakes? (Rotors & Pads)

I'll be replacing the brakes on my truck this weekend (rotors and pads) and I was just wondering if there was anything that I should know... I'm still fairly new to my truck, but I've replaced pads before on all of my other cars - I'm just kinda' wondering if there's anything involved with rotor replacement or anything in particular I should be watching out for when I do all of this on my truck.

I'm ordering all of the parts today from a locally owned parts store for a grand total of $300. All four rotors and ceramic pads for both the front and rear.

Thanks (in advance) everyone for your input!

I am doing the brakes and rotors also . I got ceramic pads and there is a small metal clip on two of them . Anyone have an idea what this metal clip is for . I also have done brakes on different trucks before ,no real problem just being a while .Is there a good video which shows the replacement.I have seen two which were not too bad but showing the pad removal and reinstallation is the most important part as the rotor is just to slip off and put new one on . Any links would be appreciated. Got my rotors and pads for 204 dollars Candian .

If its the clip Im thinking of, it makes a squeak when your pads get low on material. Ill be doing mine this weekend also.
