Not trying to bust your power bubble, but my 4.7 crapped out at 52K miles.
I had Gibson Headers, Supertruck Exhaust and K&N FIPK on it. Truck was very well maintained, religious oil changes with nothing but Valvoline oil.
Tuned up at 35K.
Majority of the miles were highway, all over Texas.
Costing me $4K to rebuild.

You got a rare one then. I've only seen one 4.7 fail at that level and it was due to an owner tha overheated it beyond repair.

I haven't had one issue with my 4.7. Other than the traction issues I am experiencing now after adding a tuner

What Tuner did you use?
How many miles do you have on it?

well mine has 137xxx and is still running strong and im pretty hard on it so i actually have quite a bit of faith in it for being such a little engine plus if it breaks it was meant to be built stronger!!

About to turn 34,000 miles. Recently got picked as a Beta Tester for Bully Dog so I have been testing their Gas GT Tuner. It really wakes the "baby" eight up!!!

Sorry, I got in the habit of calling it the baby eight after the HEMI came out and can't break it. That little 4.7 still impresses me every day!

When you consider the HP and torque numbers of the 4.7 compared to the 5.9 you can really see what a stout little engine the 4.7 really is. The 5.9 Magnum at its best put out 245 HP and 345 ft lbs of torque versus the 303 HP and 330 ft lbs of torque in the latest incarnation of the 4.7. On top of that you have better fuel economy, equal or better durability, lighter weight and better gasket sealing on the 4.7
