au contraire...exhaust makes a big difference. With more air in, how do you get more air out with a restrictive stock exhaust? You aren't reaping the benefit of the intake.

What tune did you install?

I had just the CAI and tuner in and it made a big difference in my truck! I never had the problems that hes having. Something is wrong. Maddog you have a point though more air in how does it all get out??

I got an exhaust after a month or so, that made it much better.

Yup...remember, the internal combustion engine is just a big air pump. More air in, more air out, more power.

underdrive pulleys, the new E3 plugs and some nice wires,i just put a Volant intake on today and now im running a 3" straight exhaust no muffler and wow what a difference.I also have a throttle body spacer coming tomorrow and a Superchips Cortex tuner by the weeks end.Maybe synthetic fluids if they havent already been noted.I know Running just syn motor oil really doent make the greatest difference but if you throw in the tranny and diff fluid too it makes it more noticeable.Longtube Headers and Intake manifold and throttle body spacer.Bsically the list of mods i plan. lol But everything above are really not to expensive and when adding all together with the programmer should make a huge difference. If all of the hp claims these parts make....hold on.lol

And i dont know how "frowned upon" it is to promote other performance parts sites or retailers but im buying all of my parts through StylinTrucks and they have pretty competative prices to start but they provide really signifiant discounts as well.Check them out and let me know if you need a discount promo code if you cant find one on the site by sending me a pm and ill be glad to hook anyone in need of one up.

I have to agree stylin trucks does have a wide selection of parts. I use that to base all my stuff off of. Actually moes performance has a wicked selection as well. Moes is better fot the ram since they specialise in it. Check moesperformace.com out great site.

They have a ported throttle body spacer i think its 85mm which is pretty cool. The one you got might not be worth it, maybe take a look and switch if its possible

did you reset pcm when you installed the diablo? adaptives still has to take and it only gets better over time... also, can you adjust part throttle shiftpoints (some can't because of truck year)...change those too..

I have been following this thread with interest because a preditor is on my wish list. The first thing I did to my Ram was the exhaust. Cat-back 3" single in dual 2-1/4" back from spintech muffler. Next was a Airaid MX system. The exhaust alone like everyone has been telling you made a big diff. in HP and milage for my 09. When I put the CAI in, whoa nelly. I 'm saving up for a preditor next.
