It woud be great if we could get rid of all the politicains and their greedy ways, i see they have just given themselves a 1k a year pay rise, while we are being squeezed with higer VAT and pay frozen or cut.

Anyway i've got to take the truck to the assessors tomorrow to see how much the repairs are going to set the insurance comp back, i've had a rough guide from the guy i get my parts from and he reackons around 2.500 just for the doors and rear wing not including labour etc, good job i went for the protected no claims.

I think the less you think about that lot [polititions] the better. working on the principal, of dont try fighting loosing battles. I find taking the truck out for a spin, bit of country music helps, hope your truck gets sorted soon.

Well my truck went in on friday and they've said it'll take about three weeks to sort, i also had the SRT 10 hood back from the paint shop and fitted before taking it in so they can match it all up, the wheels are now sitting in the garage awaiting to be fitted when she comes home, i'd heard a few horror stories about this firm but due to them being the approved insurance comp repairer's and what i'd lose if i went some where else i've just got to trust them, i had my old hood in the back of the bed and the guy said that he'd dispose of it for me i told NOT to touch it as its got to be worth a few quid on e bay for some one who wants a spotless OEM hood ...

it's like being a kid again and waiting for christmas, ah well only another 2 weeks 5 days to go....................not that i'm counting

a bit of advice from a ex body shop owner, check it well before you sign anything, and dont take it away unless you have! its a lot easier to get thier attention before they have had the insurance companys money. it will be a drag if you really want get your truck back but its going to be worth it in the end. good luck mate.

I had a phone call from the guy that supplies some of my bits and also supplied the bits for the insurance comp to make my truck well again, asking why they wanted a new "bullbar" that got me thinking as the "bullbar" was'nt damaged in the accident so only living afew miles away i decided to take a trip up to see whats happened, apparently when they were geting it up onto the jig to sort out the back bit the driver caught the front of it putting abit of a ding in cross member about the size of my little finger nail, hence a new one was going to be ordered, (at there expense) they were very appologetic and explained what had happened which i was happy with, but came to a deal due to the size of the dent which i can live with, to which they are going to waive the 200 excess and repair and paint the dent on the back bumper for me so i'm well happy with that. I'd heard afew horror stories about this firm but hats off to them they've treated me well and kept me updated to the progress and have been friendly, i quickly checked over the work they have done so far whilst i was up there i've no complaints so far..
