Nice! My local Autozone has them for 149! Now wondering about this one versus the $90 one on eBay some of the other members have had good luck with...check it out below. Feedback anyone?

my only question...while I like the look and all...

how is it getting cold air? Or, is the a/c line travelling above it act as a chiller? lol

I've always thought of cold air kits as ram air style up in the front of the vehicle.

Not sure how much cooler the air is. I tried the Ebay intake. It has a K&N type of filter(oiled cotten), but I switched it out to an Amsoil filter, as I prefer just blowing them out to cleaning and oiling. I did get a 1.5-2mpg bump in my mileage on a road trip last week.

I wondered the same thing for the Rams. When I had a supercharged 5.4L Ford, they had a scoop that you could get from underneath the bumper. Of course, now in 4x4 world that wouldn't be a good thing.

Hmmm...thinking a 12 pack and some dryer vent tubing and some thinkin'....

just do what the drag racers used to do and put some ice at the bottom of the box right before lining up

Ok for other budget minded folks like myself...if you want the spectre check out Summit Racing for great pricing! http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SPE-9931/

And I agree with strang3majik...is it really getting cooler air from an enclosed fender well? I checked out the Volant CAI...wow dual intake with 1 coming from the space between the headlight and radiator...now - how can we make a homemade version instead of spending almost $400? Has anyone tried this?

I thought about cutting a hole in the side of my airbox and routing the stock intake tube to the front of the engine bay. That would make the configuration similar to the
Volant.

Thanks for putting this info out there. Great looking and great price. I looked at one today and have a question. The instructions said to release the inner fender liner to install. Do you leave the liner out? or reattach it. Seems like there would be danger of taking in water if you leave it off.

Thanks
Newbie, as if my question didn't give me away

I just put the spectre kit on my 07 ram and noticed a huge difference on the highway acceleration/ mpg. I got it from autoanything.com and there price is the same as all the others 149 shipped. Best bang for the buck and definately high quality
