I hear ya MiRam, maybe we can hope that one of these company's will look at the money making opportunity in the 09-10 ram headlight issue and come up with a HID Projections sealed, complete unit that has minimal installation. At this point I would pay $500 no problem for a reliable set.

but when one was coming at me, i was not impressed.
I took the time today to measure the height from ground to center of headlight unit. My Dodge Nitro sets 3" higher (37")than my Ram 2500 (34") .So much for truck height .I have HID's in both units ,both with dual beam and have had zero issues with either unit. Only problem I did have was the installer had the High/low beam inverted and had to go back in to revese it. As stated earlier I had more oncoming problems while using the driving lights in conjunction with the HID's. Both units have been wired to funtion as DRL's and have an independent toggle swith that Allows me to turn off the running/fog light when necessary .It also allow for having those very same lights available when I am using/need the high beam AND running lights combined. As to the issue of lights from behind being a problem ,I personally have more of an issue with lights in my outside rear view mirrors .Inside I have day/night time mirrors or just flip it down ,while outside IS a pain in the a$$ regardless if it's HIDs or just halogen high beam . I do think some of us are much more light sensitive than others .Example ,myself @ 74 years of age .I HATE bright lights .
