My plan is also to get the OEM switches. Its probably gonna bother me if I dont get the non-manual window door panels too. I want to install fogs too, so Ill need to find all those switches. Ill keep you posted if I find anything

Yes, I've been considering the pilot OEM driving lights. I was wondering if I could just wire them to come on with the headlights so that I didn't need an extra switch on the dash (I'm fussy like that). As I'd be using them as driving lights and not fog lights it would be cool to just have them come on with the headlights, and I figure there must be a way to wire them to come on from the headlight switch.

I believe on the OEM headlight switch for trucks with fog lights, the dial pulls out to turn on the fogs. (Someone correct me if Im wrong). So if thats true, that seems pretty painless. Just about the same motion as turning on the headlights. All with the factory harness.

That sounds great. The reason I'm fussy about it is not because of the motion but because where the switch for the headlights is there isn't room for a separate switch and having to install one somewhere else on the dash would mess with my sense of balance and layout. Yea, I know - a little OCD, but I can't help it lol

I couldnt agree with you more. Im still trying to find a good place to mount a train horn switch that looks good and is functional...

Did some research DA and found this:

Headlight/Foglight switch

If you don't already have the pull switch then when/if you install driving/fog lights you can buy this replacement switch or get one from a breakers and, as you said, it has the pull out for the extra lights (am guessing it's identical for the 5.9/5.2)....saves you adding an extra switch to the dash.

Yesterday I installed the power locks in my front 2 doors, kinda got tired and hungry so didn't tear the rear doors apart to do those. Hopefully finish those this week. My kit was only 30 bucks. I didn't need bells and whistles just got tired of playing musical locks. The key fob works from a pretty good distance too which surprised me. Wasn't a difficult install.

The original kit I bought was only about 30 bucks, but I did want an alarm system so now I've bought that too am just going to use the solenoids from the kit I bought rather than the whole system.

How did you find attaching the solenoids? Any pics? Would be cool to see how you did it.

I'm looking forward to recovering from my op. Am itching to get started on the minor mods and I am also missing driving her...got a couple more weeks to go, but she's in the garage out of harms way and it allows me to come out, smoke and covet her lol
