Default Bigger Oil Filter for the Hemi!

I don't know about you guys but I really don't like small oil filters on V8's. I'm a old school drag racer and I always made it a point to try and get a higher compacity oil filter for what ever I was racing. Well I decided to set out on a quest for a bigger oil filter for my 04 5.7 Hemi.
I don't know if this was posted before and to be honest I didn't even try looking for it. I was a little surprised to find that the same filter thats been on ever small block Ford from the 289ci V8 all the way up to the last 302ci 5.0 that rolled of the assembly line in the mid 90's was the one. I changed my oil two weeks ago and put on a Napa Gold 1515. I waited to post this just in case there was a problem but NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. I drive hard and I commute 50 miles a day each way for work. The filter is about twice the length so it is more filter and that can't be a bad thing.
If you decide to give it a try remember to you need to add a little more oil because of the extra compacity. There is a larger oil filter that fits also but it may be a little long for the space available. If I was building a dedicated race motor I would have went that route but twice the filter is enough for what I need. Hope this helped anybody that may have the same idea as me about filters. Oh by the way I have a 85 Mustang GT so I only need to buy one kind of filter WIN WIN SITUATION.

WEll thanks for the advice! Thats good to know if anyone on here wants to do that as well.

I was looking at getting an Amsoil filter for my truck. Its a fully synthetic oil filter, which gets out mroe contaminents. I also use synthetic oil which would benefit with this filter

I went to do the oil on my Hemiram08 4x4 and found a tiny filter. I looked but was unsure of what would work as a larger replacment! Thanks for the info and next oil change bigger is beter...even if its not in a
Oh..and 5-20 synth. for me please! Any thoughts on LUKUS oil additive? I see they offer a Synth oil additive also. I know it works great in conventional oils.
