Default Update on everything

First off, I'm going to rant on about drunk drivers. Last night at about 8pm my friend and his younger brother who is 15, and his younger sister who is only 9 were struck head on by a drunk driver. What in the right mind was he, and all of the drunk drivers thinking? We have all seen deaths from drunk drivers on the news. Thankfully, they are OK tonight. Both cars are totalled (obviously). Court will come soon enough, hopefully this guy gets what he deserves along with all of those who dare to drive under the influence.

Now that I'm done with that rant heres some more updates.

Last year, I went to a highschool football game, and saw a girl who was getting filmed for the MTV show "Made" where people get "made" into things they wish to be the most I.E. actor, movie star, race car driver. It was a big deal to have something local like that.

Come to find out she died 4 days ago at the young age of 16 from a heart attack. She was in my grade. Younger than me by only 6 months. You'd never guess, but man it really can happen to anybody. She did Karate and was fairly fit. She wanted to be on broadway one day. I hope that she is fulfilling all of her dreams right now.
-------------------------------------------------------------

On a positive note, my moms corvette was taken to my friends house who's dad is experienced with cars. Happens to be the father of the kids that were in the crash. Anywho, the corvette is getting it's transmission leak fixed. Once this is done, HOPEFULLY it will be a good/solid weekend car!

Also, as long as the vette is gone, I get a spot next to the charger in the garage

I am finally getting over my sickness after a few weeks. My ears still ache dramatically and my throat is tender. Thankfully... it is a lot better.

New classes are no fun at all, trigonometry is hard. I'm sick of Cosine, sine, tangent, secant, cosecant, and cotangent.

Well... that's an update for ya.

Glad you are feeling better!

They should up the penalty. He will probably not get affected too much.

Another thing I want to throw out there is those people who "Text and drive"

With my old truck, I was rear ended at school by some girl who was texting and driving. I knew it was going to happen, I saw her drop her phone too. I so should have reported her A$$ but there was no damage done to my tank, Lol. If it were my SS/T she'd be wishing she was dead.

I belive in Utah?... Texting and driving now has the same penalty as a DUI. Cmon Washington. Get with the program.

In a bad part of my life I received 2 OWIs and a driving while suspended. The first I got time served, weekend classes, and no license 6 months, oh and about $5000 in fines. Week after the 6 months got stopped for no license, 10 days in jail and $1000 fine. Then right after the 6 months got my 2nd, 7 days in jail (23 suspended), a few weeks of classes, probation officer, and all my fines suspended. After that my license was barred for 4 years. Having the 2 owis I had to wait 2 1/2 years to even get a work permit. I feel my punishment was light, but no one got hurt and the classes worked for me.
I tell people this so that they can learn from my mistakes. Don't be stupid like me, worst decisions I have ever made

I feel your pain... glad the kids were OK...

as for your other pain.... Trig... ask your teacher about Chief SohCahToa (he was a really really smart Indian dude that knew a lot about Trig.... well not really but it sounds good)... it's a nifty lil trick that'll always tell you what you need.. S=Sine, C=Cosine, T=tangent, O=opposite, A=Adjacent, H=Hypotnuse. The way it works, you know two of the sides, the missing sign is either S,C, or T

Geez Alex, talk about a crappy week for you

Glad to hear your friends are ok. I've DD'd once and that was one time too many, not something I'll do again. As for the girl with the heart attack, I was 15 had played sports 5-6 days a week, and when I moved to Cali from Zimbabwe, I collapsed after running a mile, heart attack and now I have long QT PVCs; ended most of my sporting career, still played rugby but had to go recreational, not semi-pro like I was in Zim. It CAN happen to anyone

Wow, Alex, sorry to hear about the DD, just glad to know everyone is ok, but dang, that sure sucks about that girl and the heart attack! I know that scares me, and like Cd said, guess it really can happen to anyone.

Feel your pain on the trig, though, put up with that myself, and they wanted me to take pre-cal, haha, no way! Pretty rough stuff, but looks like Exco has a good idea for ya', so good luck!

Cool update!
