Default Best Spark Plugs For 5.9?

I'm going to swap out my plugs this week. Sounds like there could be a misfire when my problems happen. Maybe they're going bad, I'll have to check. It should be done anyways as there is no records in my paperwork for it.

So: What is the best spark plugs for the 5.9?

Your truck came with Champions from the factory. Personally, I like NGK because I've never had a problem with them.

Alright, thanks Randy. I was looking into NGK. Supposedly they are pre gapped as well. Not that it matters too much, as a gapping tool is less than $3 lol. Thanks for the input.

I have read that alot of people like the Autolite 3923s. But it varies between engines and what not. These are what I am going with this spring.

I have always had good luck with NGK, but it has always been in foreign trucks.

NGK's are now factory installed in most Chrysler applications. I ran them for years in my drag car and pretty much everything, foregin and domestic, I have ever owned with excellent results. As far as pregapping goes, you should still check the gap before installing any plug, regardless of the pregap claim.

As far as the pregap check goes, I agree. I had a set of motorcraft platinum plugs for a customers car that were supposed to be pregapped and they were all overgapped by at least .008

I tried the E-3's, but there doesn't seem to be any advantage to spending the extra money. Didn't see any boost in mileage, even with new cap, rotor, and 8mm wires. Everything I've read says to stick with a copper core, as the platinum's will make it run like crap.

My vote is NGKs as well, but like they said, check the gapping before install.
