Default Daytime running LED's

Quick question about daytime running lights. It seems that the Canadian version of my truck have DRL's, is this right? And if so, does my American version have the same wiring harness. I would like to put some LED's on the front bumper (where the tow hooks go) and have them on whenever I am moving rather than using the parking light circuit.

The drl's use the high beam circuit at a lower voltage. You should be able to turn them on by programming the computer in your truck with a programmer. I know I can turn mine on or off with the bullydog gt gas programmer, not sure about others. Still probably wouldnt work for what you want to do.

Unfortunately, unless you've got a Canadian/international stocked truck, then the DRL option is not availiable. We've had a few threads on this and from our Chrysler guys, you can't just 'turn it on'

What you can do is wire the LEDs into any ingnition controlled circuit via a fused line and voila!
